Recovery is a process. It takes patience. It takes everything you’ve got…and you’ve got a lot: a kind heart, an amazing spirit, and people who really care about you
Sometimes it’s okay to think “yeah, I’ve had a shit day” and you don’t have to justify yourself to anybody or apologise for that. That’s life, it happens. We all have bad days and we have good ones. They are what they are. But just because you’ve had a bad day doesn’t mean the next day will be bad or that you’re a terrible person, it just means that you’re breathing, your living. You’re a human being, that’s what happens. Don’t beat yourself up for things you cannot change.
there are days where i feel more like living, and there are days where i don’t. i think part of recovery is to learn to accept that both exist. that they are going to be days where you want to hide forever, and others where you want to hug the sun and dance along with the stars. both are okay.
You never know how sick you are until you try to recover.
You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world and there’s still going to be someone who hates peaches.
